Context:  PM 6 had a capacity of 40,000 tonnes/yr of medium-weight coated paper and was shut down in July. Burgo mothballed PM 7 in October. The unit had a capacity of 60,000 tonnes/yr of LWC. Managers are quick to defend the additional output, saying, “For the foreseeable future, consumption of wood-containing coated papers in reels will continue to be high, as it is used for magazines, inserts, catalogs and commercial printing.”
