Definition:  Rectangular full-width nozzle formed by a top lip and an apron lip, through which the headbox delivers the jet to the forming fabric or between the two wires of the twin wire former.
Definition source:  Brewer (2003)
Context:  As the stock flows through the slice, fibers lose their random orientation and become somewhat oriented in the direction of flow because of their shape and the shear gradient in the water. This orientation is then increased in the draining stock on the forming fabric if there is a velocity difference (AV) between the jet and the fabric, as is typical.
