Definition:  Typical equipment for reeling the product at the end of the paper machine in which the web wraps around a motor-driven drum and feeds into the nip formed by a spool contacting the drum and driven by the drum. The paper wraps the spool and builds up into a reel.

Context:  The paper machine (PM) and board machine (BM) are sometimes conveniently subdivided into the wire part, press part (press section), dryer part (dryer section) and reel. Alternatively, they may be subdivided into the wet end and dry end, with the latter containing the dryer part and reel.
