|
Context: |
|
Fiber enters the stock preparation plant as thick stock transfers from on-site pulping operations and/or as market pulp along with whatever additives are used. A small fraction of these solid materials (say 0.05 - 2.0%) is rejected as waste by the screens and cleaners of the stock approach system. At the forming section, only about 50 - 60% of the solids in the headbox flow is retained on the forming fabric. |
