Context: |
|
A blade former produces good formation, but at low retention. The jet impingement geometry is critical and limited to a narrow operating window, since the jet must travel about 480 mm (19 inch) in free air and contact the fabric at a precise point ahead of the first blade without contacting either breast roll. Dewatering is in short intense pulses, which limits both dewatering capacity and control over fiber orientation and two-sidedness. |
