Context:  Bendtsen roughness (ml/min) measures the air flow between a narrow (150 urn) annular land of diameter 32 mm and a contacting paper surface compressed under 98 kPa, using a specified pressure difference between the air within the land and the outer atmosphere. Errors arise from flow of air through the paper rather than just over the surface.
