Instrument for mesuring Bekk Smoothness, basically formed by a flat smooth glass disc, which presents a hole in the middle; this latter is linked up to a cylindric chamber, where a small pressure is created, whose value is provided by a mercury manometer.

Bekk Smoothness Tester. This air leak smoothness test is useful for very smooth surfaces, for example, coated label papers, coated free sheet, or other very smooth papers. Test results generated with the Bekk tester have shown excellent correlation with print smoothness evaluations using offset ink.
