Definition:  Unit of measurement of the smoothness of paper determined by means of the Bekk Smoothness Tester.

Context:  Bekk Smoothness (sec/10 ml) measures the air flow between a polished glass surface and a paper surface under defined conditions of surface geometry, air pressure differences and applied pressure (98 kPa) between the surfaces. In contrast with the following methods, Bekk readings increase with increasing smoothness.
