Context: |
|
The main advantages of the air knife are its versatility and its ability to apply pressure sensitive coatings - there is nothing actually touching the coated surface. It has several disadvantages in that it is messy, relatively slow (500 m/minute maximum) and is prone to coating particles obstructing the knife slot. It can, however, apply coat weights of up to 30 g/m² on one pass. |
